Glidepath is built to be local-first. The whole point of the design is that your financial life stays on your own device. This policy explains exactly what that means, in plain language.
You do not create an account, and you never give us your name, email, or financial details to use the calculator. Everything you type — income, savings, pensions, ages, goals — is processed entirely inside your web browser. It is never sent to us or to any server.
Your inputs are saved automatically in your browser's local storage, on your device only, so your plan is still there when you come back. If you use the "save" feature, that creates a file on your device — you choose where it goes. The optional encrypted save (Alt-click the save icon) protects that file with AES-256-GCM encryption, so even the saved file reveals nothing without your passphrase. You can clear everything at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.
To convert between currencies, the site fetches daily reference exchange rates from frankfurter.app, an open service mirroring the European Central Bank's published rates. That request contains no personal data — it retrieves public rate data and nothing about you or your plan is included. The pages also load their typefaces from Google Fonts; like any request your browser makes, that carries your IP address and browser details to Google's font servers (and nothing about your plan). No other third-party requests are made.
The calculator sets no advertising or tracking cookies and needs no cookie banner. For product analytics we use privacy-preserving, cookieless measurement: Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate page views, plus our own cookieless usage events that count which steps and features are used (for example, that the guided setup was opened, or a plan was exported), together with your interface language. These are aggregate and anonymous — no cookies, no advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking, and never any of your plan data (no incomes, balances, ages, or the specific countries in your plan). We honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends either signal, no usage events are sent at all.
Some pages may link to third-party financial providers. If a link is a paid affiliate link it is clearly labelled "Sponsored" — see our Affiliate Disclosure. When you follow an external link, that other company's privacy policy governs what they collect. We don't share any of your data with them, because we don't have it.
Because we hold no personal data about you on any server, there is nothing for us to look up, export, or delete on our side. You remain in full control: your data lives with you, and clearing your browser storage removes it. This approach is designed to respect data-protection frameworks including the GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA (California), LGPD (Brazil) and similar laws — the simplest way to protect your data is to never collect it.
This is a general-audience financial-planning tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country). We knowingly collect no personal data from anyone.
